T2D – The Best and Very Worst of…. released
I am very proud to announce that my new album is ready for distribution and free download through MTBM.NET.
Below is what was posted earlier on their website:

We are very pleased to announce that T2D's first album is now ready for distribution for free as always.
T2D has been working very hard on this for the full year, releasing some of the material as e.p's and has brought all of his tracks together along with a few new ones in 'The Best and Very Worst of...'
The release is currently available as a free download through SoundCloud at the link below and is covered by a Creative Commons License.

We managed to get a few words from the man himself on the upcoming release:
Q. Well, it has been an interesting year for you hasn't it?
A. It sure has, we have been through a lot of unheaval during it but I am really pleased to have gotten this far with the help and support from you guys.
Q. So, can you give us an idea of how the album came about?
A. Well, for those that know me, I can be very impatient with things that I am doing and genuinely would rather have a lot to do so I can work between the projects. My working style changed considerably over the course of creating the album due to this as I spent quite a lot of time trying to organise my sessions so that I could get demo's down quickly.
This led to me workiing faster and it meant I could stick with the schedule MTBM.NET set down for me. I released several e.p's over that time and imalgamated them together when the new studio was built. Then I created two more tracks to bring it into around 60 minutes of music.
My style is fairly straightforward, I go for big basslines and tight beats and then the rest is built around this.
Q. You said that your style had changed during the process, can you give us any more insight into that?
A. Sure. I was working solely in Ableton Live creating all of the tracks and spent quite alot of time setting up the session so I had all of my sounds readily available. The good thing about Live is the arrangement tools. I must admit, I am not the best arranger but I have learnt alot when doing each track and as it went on I became more knowledgeable in that subject. However, I found I had too much choice when creating so I would sit for hours working through presets and really just wasting my time.
We upgraded the studio recently onto the Logic Pro platform and that really stopped the preset junky in his tracks (no pun intended). This made me spend a little more time creating sounds and building arrangements and allowed me to work closely with recorded material as well. Not that Ableton Live stopped me from doing this, I just find it a different program for workflow in that way.
Q. Can you give us an idea of what we will see with you in the future 6 months?
A. As if you didn't know! I am currently recording and creating the samples for my new samplepack release 'E|Drums 2.0'. Then, I will focus on a new e.p. for release nearer the end of the year. Oh, and I need to negotiate a new contract with a certain label, hee hee.
I am sure will agree that this album is a journey into the gained experience of T2D and we hope you will enjoy it.
Mixed Bag Update
Hi folks,

In an update to the Mixed Bag Samplepack featured here, I am planning to release the samplepack on more platforms.
I have currently finished the Reason Refill for NNXT users and I plan to do an EXS24 version as well for Logic Users.
This will be made available to everyone once the new website goes live.
T2D releases ‘On Brother’
Okay, this has been a long time coming I know but with all of the changes in MTBM.NET recently I haven't had a lot of time to finish the release. So no artwork I'm afraid until the website is finished!
However, this marks the end of releases for a while so that we can do the shake up and get things back to the way we want them here so I am considering releasing all of my most recent releases as a relaunch album for the new website and strategy MTBM.NET wish to employ from the start of August (hopefully).
Stuff to do this month is as follows:
2. Studio set up - I will be making a few changes and getting some new gear in so I will have an update soon along with some photos.
3. New music - CHUG's first release and my own album, I'll probably add a few new tracks in there as well to go with the tracks I have released before.
I have a lot to do so I will keep you updated as best I can but the majority of the posts will be done on the development site which is available on the right hand side of the blog.
Enjoy the new release and i'll catch you later!
