Each of his Great Recordings videos focuses on an iconic album, ranging from vintage classics like <strong>Take Five<\/strong> to Beyonc\u00e9&#8217;s <strong>Cowboy Carter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Eno&#8217;s Ambient 1-4 are seminal albums that defined the concept of Ambient Music. Eno didn&#8217;t &#8216;invent&#8217; ambient music &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.synthtopia.com\/content\/2004\/03\/18\/mark-prendergast-the-ambient-century-from-mahler-to-moby-the-evolution-in-sound-in-the-electronic-age\/\">Mark Prendergast&#8217;s book The Ambient Century<\/a> traces the precursors to Eno&#8217;s work back over 100 years. But Ambient 1-4 both defined the genre, and demonstrated the range of possibilities within the genre.<\/p>\n<p>Lovegrove&#8217;s video provides an introduction to Eno and his work, and then digs deeper into <strong>Ambient 1<\/strong> and the album&#8217;s individual tracks.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s very calming,&#8221; he notes, &#8220;just like sitting&#8230;..at the beach with the sound of the waves rolling in.
