It was beautiful\u2014electronic, but human. Each body is handcrafted. They have a robotic but organic sound at the same time. It felt like a perfect answer to what we were looking for.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Teenage Engineering provided 24 choir dolls, and developed new firmware to evenly distribute musical notes across the choir.<\/p>\n<p>Recording took place at the Sony scoring stage in Los Angeles, where the Choir dolls were mic\u2019d similarly to a human choir and recorded in the same acoustic space:<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.synthtopia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/teenage-engineering-choir-elio.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-149497\" src=\"https:\/\/www.synthtopia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/teenage-engineering-choir-elio-728x410.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"728\" height=\"410\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.synthtopia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/teenage-engineering-choir-elio-728x410.jpg 728w, https:\/\/www.synthtopia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/teenage-engineering-choir-elio-320x180.jpg 320w, https:\/\/www.synthtopia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/teenage-engineering-choir-elio-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.synthtopia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/teenage-engineering-choir-elio-533x300.jpg 533w, https:\/\/www.synthtopia.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/teenage-engineering-choir-elio.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Simonsen<\/strong> used the Choir as part of the sonic identity for <strong>The Communiverse<\/strong>, a futuristic interplanetary organization.
