IK Multimedia ReSing Lets You Turn Scratch Vocals Into Professional Vocal Performances

IK Multimedia has introduced ReSing, a new plug-in and standalone app that lets you translate your scratch vocals into professional-quality vocal performances.

ReSing runs directly on your computer, eliminating the need for cloud services. And ReSing is the first platform of its kind that lets you create your own voice models, for personal or commercial use.

Features:

  • Replace vocal takes with professional-quality performances
  • Adjust vocal energy, tone, and style, even blend and mod voices
  • Turn any recording – even from your phone – into a studio-quality vocal
  • Sing basslines, riffs, and hooks, then convert them into real instruments
  • Create unlimited voice models to share or license
  • Up to 25 Voice and 25 Instrument models included
  • Supports models in English and Spanish, with more to come
  • Full DAW integration with ARA support
  • Desktop native, so no uploading or internet required
  • One-time perpetual license, no subscription or lock-in
  • Import voice RVC models from popular open communities
  • Explore a growing catalog of partner voices and “hire” as needed

ReSing improves vocal tracks by replacing their tone and pronunciation features with those of high-quality AI voice models. This technology demands more intensive processing than other methods, which often have difficulty capturing complex vocal nuances.

For Instruments, Too

Any vocal or instrumental track can also be replaced with an instrument from ReSing’s model browser. The same controls used for vocal models are available to manage all aspects of the performance, including transposing.

When transposing a vocal or an instrument, ReSing models continue to behave and sound exactly like a real singer or instrument without any quality loss or strange effects. Change keys, add harmonies, layer instruments — anything is possible while maintaining a natural sound.

Model Creation

Unlike other voice replacement software or services, ReSing is the first to let you create custom models locally on your computers, giving you full control over input audio files and the final model. Once completed, new models appear in the Model Browser within the ReSing app, ready for use. Each model is unique and protected from unauthorized use outside of ReSing.

Pricing and Availability:

ReSing is scheduled for release in late October 2025. It’s www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?item_id=18556 to preorder, with the following intro pricing:

  • ReSing Free – Free – Includes 2 voices, 2 instruments, 2 user models and RVC imports.
  • ReSing – $/€89.99* (reg. $129.99) – Includes 10 voices, 10 instruments, 10 user models and RVC imports.
  • ReSing MAX – $/€149.99* (reg. $199.99) – Includes 25 voices, 25 instruments, 25 user models and unlimited RVC imports.

  1. When I see this type of technology used in the field of audio art, I always think of fish in a bowl shitting in their own water.
When we have plugins that sing, compose, mix, and master on their own, we’ll probably also have bots that listen and buy, generating automatic profit, I guess.
While we sit by the pool watching our automatic business growing (I hope).
Then we will have to find another way to satisfy our stupid, useless, and damn human need to make Art…

    1. Nah, stuff that’s made via this kind of plugins will remain unheard anyway. There’s clearly a market for producing gear and plugins that will take away any effort needed, with passable results. You can recognize them very easily through mentions of AI and the like. Things like this will sell itself to a fruitless demographic. Think of it like the products on informercial channels… Silly stuff for suckers; glitter for people to touch up their turds.

      1. I think this is useful for getting a track going, then once you’re happy with it, send it to a professional vocalist to fill in.

I also wondered whether it might be useful for backing vocals that sit low in the mix, we’ll have to see. Like how some people used VP330 back in the day.

    2. this doesn’t sing for you though – it is a plugin that replaces the voice, and what I am curious about is creating your own libraries and if you can do fun and experimental things with it

  2. I’m not a musician, I love to make sounds with my computer. But, this is so terrible that it hurts my ears. And I am not young…. What a sad world without real musicians this would be.

  3. A bit unusual for a plugin to be “introduced” without even a solid release date. I wonder if they are trying to stake some claim because they’ve heard a competitor is coming out with a similar product ?

  4. utau has done this for years it just didnt have fancy ai and you had to manually tune everything syllable by syllable and anything outside of the voicebank’s designated range sounded harsh; Vocaloid was alot better usually (some outlier extremely realistic/expressive utaus exist though like renri)

now synthV has outclassed all of that heavily thanks to some early ai (afaik not generative in the sense of most ai buzz things today; it just used ai to tune the non-ai voicebank for realism/expression; not actually using genai for the voice itself; morelike a baseline automation of parameters; though more recent versions use a more genai approach but in a way that retains the per-note precise control of vocaloids)

anyways as a Vocaloid lover i think this is possibly exciting but the video doesnt make it seem very fun to work with

ill stick to my niche i think; unless i learn how to sing maybe

  5. We used to revere talent. We evolved to value diligent work. Creativity, adventurousness, and unique character are also celebrated traits.

Seems like AI generated vocals only require massive amounts of electricity for data centers; all so everything can sound slick and homogeneous.

I know it’s progress, and for some people, it will open doors. That’s ok. But let’s not pretend there aren’t downsides.

  6. for songwriting and for making demos for artists it is a god send!!
For example, I can sing in tune and in time but my vocal sounds shit. With this, I can produce a good demo of what the song is going to sound like when sung by proper singer and present it to my publisher etc.
Also would be quite useful for club scene, where there is usually no need to have a face for few vocal lines. But again, this is NOT making a song for you. You have to do lyrics (even there are softwares who does that too) and you have to have a recording of a vocal..and you need to know how to make a good vocal line. It is not called re-sing for nothing…
