Korg Intros microAUDIO Interface Line Ahead Of 2026 NAMM Show

Ahead of the 2026 NAMM Show, KORG has introduced the microAUDIO series, including two new compact audio interfaces:

  • The microAUDIO 22 is designed for “beginners and hobbyists who want high-quality audio without unnecessary complexity.”
  • The microAUDIO 722 adds an analog filter, expanding the role of the device beyond traditional audio interfaces functions with a creative effect.

Here’s what they have to say about them:

“microAUDIO offers a pristine, open sound with a strong sense of depth and generous headroom in a compact, desktop-ready design.

Studio-grade preamps are tuned for musical gain with minimal noise, prioritizing clarity while avoiding excess circuitry. Both models support 24-bit/192kHz audio and include balanced inputs and outputs for high-quality recording and playback.

Each channel of the microAUDIO series features versatile Mic, Line, and Hi-Z inputs with 48V phantom power, plus assignable Noise Gate and either a Compressor or Limiter for smooth, musical gain with minimal noise. These processors can be applied not only to input signals, but also to any audio played back from a connected computer.

Front-panel knobs provide direct access to essential functions, and zero-latency direct monitoring ensures immediate feedback during recording or live performance. The headphone output can be assigned independently of the main outputs, allowing you to route a click track exclusively to the headphones or monitor cue signals when connected to DJ applications.

The Stereo Link function allows both channels to be controlled simultaneously with a single knob, making it ideal for stereo synthesizers and other paired sources. This workflow keeps the technical side simple so you can stay focused on creating.”

Pricing and Availability:

The Korg microAUDIO interfaces are available now to pre-order, with street prices of about $200 USD for the microAUDIO 22 and $270 for the microAUDIO 722.

  1. It seems the advertising department missed emphasizing the more unique features of the 722 filter, its a miniKORG 700S multimode filter which can also be used as a standalone analog filter with a USB charger. It can be applied to playback channels (but I think it’s mono) and includes built-in modulation accessible from the editor, an envelope follower and LFO that can sync to incoming MIDI clock.
Also, if the headphone output can receive a different mix better to call it microAUDIO 24 and microAUDIO 724.

  2. Why would you want CV inputs? Wouldn’t CV outputs be better so you could send CV from your DAW to your Eurorack?
Also, I think that’s asking a bit too much at this price point.
Besides it’s only got 2 inputs and 2 outputs. If was larger and had more connectivity, then yeah CV would be nice.
If you mean to control the on board filter with CV, again I think that’s asking a bit too much. I’m guessing that would be quite a niche requirement for most potential buyers.
That said, I would like to see more Interfaces with CV outputs, or at least DC coupled outputs and a more accessible price range.

    1. For non-onboard-pot control of the filter. And no it is not too much to ask, any analog filter can have external CV control available with a few extra cents of components.
