New Xcelon SL Mixer Designed Specifically For Electronic Musicians (Sneak Preview)

2026 Buchla & Friends Show: Boredbrain Music offered a sneak preview of the Xcelon SL – a dynamic analog performance mixer that they say is designed specifically for electronic musicians.

Details are to come, but here are some unofficial specs:

  • Analog 8-channel stereo mixer
  • Two FX sends
  • Gain, Compression, Tilt EQ per channel
  • Master filter knob
  • Side chain with ext input
  • Direct outs
  • Cue monitoring
  • Additional A & B mix busses for alternate processing

  1. I truly hope the aux sends are stereo too.
    That’s always my biggest gripe when it comes to hardware mixers… MONO sends!
    I understand their purpose but with all the modern stereo effects, who wants to sum their stereo synth into mono for fx. Not me at least.

      1. I guess when people started “upgrading” channel strips to stereo, they forgot about the sends? i guess you could argue allot of pro studio gear is mono or dual channel, but the market this device is catering to seems more music and synths.. so stereo fx and stereo pedals etc..

    1. That was last year at superbooth. They said they brought it back to the drawing board after feedback they received and it will be at superbooth again this year

  2. This looks great. Their mixer line in Eurorack seems to be very popular so they’re smart to explore the non-modular market. I expect that it will be pricey though and theres’s a lot of competition, although there’s no other desktop mixer that includes an analog multimode VCF so that will be a selling point for some.
