Pipo Interfaces let us know that they have launched a pre-order campaign for its line of Pipo wireless sensors.
Pipo offers a set of wireless sensor devices that let users control sound, visuals, and interactive systems using motion, touch, distance, and analog inputs. Just connect through MIDI or OSC.
Three modules are available:
- Pipo Motion: To capture orientation, taps or vibrations using an (using a 9-axis IMU)
- Pipo Range: A distance sensing device to use with objects or your hands, like a modern theremin
- Pipo Analog: A versatile tool for building custom interfaces with 8 touch inputs + 8 analog inputs.
Features:
- Dual Wi-Fi mode: access point and station mode coexistence (connect directly and to a network at the same time)
- Multiple Pipo modules can be used simultaneously
- Browser-based updates via the update page
- Designed for low-latency performance (5–20 ms depending on sensor and protocol)
Pricing and Availability:
The Pipo interfaces are available starting at $135 USD for one, or $358 for a complete set.
Note: Crowdfunded projects can involve risk. See the project site for details on this.
