People obsess about the 909 and matching the original, but the samples that come in your DAW or sampler generally sound better.
Check out Bitwig Studio. Has a great 909 kit emulation in there. It’s fun!

I was hoping for 909 documentary to be like the rather excellent 808 documentary released on Apple TV.
