that isn’t what this plugin does, it is a vocal replacement tool not a tuning or a generative tool

this doesn’t sing for you though – it is a plugin that replaces the voice, and what I am curious about is creating your own libraries and if you can do fun and experimental things with it

For example, I can sing in tune and in time but my vocal sounds shit. With this, I can produce a good demo of what the song is going to sound like when sung by proper singer and present it to my publisher etc.
Also would be quite useful for club scene, where there is usually no need to have a face for few vocal lines. But again, this is NOT making a song for you. You have to do lyrics (even there are softwares who does that too) and you have to have a recording of a vocal..and you need to know how to make a good vocal line. It is not called re-sing for nothing…

The good part of Resing is doing it inside the daw. I’ll try this plugin

Also, the ability to generate leads (e.g. sax, guitar, etc) from vocals seems interesting. But to each his own.

We evolved to value diligent work. Creativity, adventurousness, and unique character are also celebrated traits.

Seems like AI generated vocals only require massive amounts of electricity for data centers; all so everything can sound slick and homogeneous.

I know it’s progress, and for some people, it will open doors. That’s ok. But let’s not pretend there aren’t downsides.

now synthV has outclassed all of that heavily thanks to some early ai (afaik not generative in the sense of most ai buzz things today; it just used ai to tune the non-ai voicebank for realism/expression; not actually using genai for the voice itself; morelike a baseline automation of parameters; though more recent versions use a more genai approach but in a way that retains the per-note precise control of vocaloids)

anyways as a Vocaloid lover i think this is possibly exciting but the video doesnt make it seem very fun to work with

ill stick to my niche i think; unless i learn how to sing maybe

Perhaps this is the product that forced IK to make the announcement. It was launched in the last couple of days.

I think this is useful for getting a track going, then once you’re happy with it, send it to a professional vocalist to fill in.

I also wondered whether it might be useful for backing vocals that sit low in the mix, we’ll have to see. Like how some people used VP330 back in the day.

Do you know how many songs produced by today’s ‘artists’ are mainly composed by software?

I wonder if they are trying to stake some claim because they’ve heard a competitor is coming out with a similar product ?
