I FOR ONE THINK IT COULD BE LOTS OF FUN MIXING 3 VOLCAS, MUTING AND SOLOING THEM N SUCH TO CREATE STRUCTURE TO A PIECE OF MUSIC AND I THINK THERES TOO MUCH NEGATIVITY ON THIS WEBSITE’S COMMENTS. GREAT ADDITION TO THE VOLCA “SYSTEM” IF YOU WILL. MANY STICKS UP ARSES IF YOU WILL.

on edit: After a bit of googling yes…volca’s and PO’s can talk the same sync apparently…hmm…

Hypothetically speaking, if a Volca Perc / Snare were released one can collect the other Volcas to create a poor mans Alpha Base ( Jomox ).

It mixes 3 volcas, very basic,
no seq like on the roland mx1 though.. a missed opportunity as all violcas have sequencers
expensive, it’s almost 50% cost of roland mx1 but looks more like a £50 mixer from Tandy

this mixer and the volca kick ..i think we’re reached the bottom of the barrel now

Hey, I found a cool surprising companion I like for my Volca sample. Patterning app on the iPad. I have an old iPad 2 dedicated now just for that, connecting to the Sample with a simple old iPad connection to din midi.

It sends midi to the Volca through 8 midi channels, thus adds Patterning coolness of probability and polyrhythmic patterns. At the same time the Volca sequencer can run with empty patterns (even on a different own bpm), while optional adding voice 9 and 10 parts and coolest of all: Adding own volca parameter automation! It works beautifully

Can’t see buying a dedicated mixer for the Volcas as they are. If there were some sort of sequencer management system for all of the models maybe, but I find them somewhat crippled without this or an expanded storage system. My Volca sample could get tons more use if it had the capacity to store more patterns/songs.

Complaint about the cords? Whut? Volcas are semi-modular in their overall slant and that means at least *some* cable spaghetti. Its part of the deal. I feel sure this will be a welcome solution for fairly simple applications, even though many people will choose a bigger mixer option. It’d be nice if it was not tied to an AC adaptor, but its powering three outboard units. We don’t yet have sufficient batteries for that, especially for more than wimpy speakers. Besides, its a Volca Helper. It’ll sell.

The wires all over the place create the perfect combination of comical, clausterphobic, and most importantly, ANNOYING.

Nothing beats the feeling of fighting through a bunch of wires to tweak those knobs on the endless path of mediocre music
