As for me, the journey will always be the destination. I got into music because i enjoyed creating something pleasant from scratch. I enjoyed working my ears, fingers, sense of rhythm, coordination. I dont feel like using a bass or keyboard or cheap recorder or mpe guitar to determine what key a melody is is a waste of time. Indeed, i think if you need software to tell you these things, for you the process is not enjoyable. Which is all good; ur not an instrumentalist. Maybe an arranger? Hah, just kidding .
