New Software Synths Take Inspiration From ARP 2500, Buchla

Developer Giorgio Sancristoforo shared these sneak previews of a pair of new software synths.

Sancristoforo has previously released a wide range of creative synths, including Gleetchlab, No-Fi Tape Loop Music Studio, Ongaku and Berna 3.

The first new software synth, Eye of Horus, takes inspiration from Buchla synths. We’ve embedded the preview above.

The second new synth, SONDA, takes inspiration from the ARP 2500 and the work of electronic music pioneer Eliane Radigue:

Details on the two new synths are still to come at Sancristoforo’s site.

  1. Will both be instant buys for me. Giorgio makes stuff I love and I will never forget him helping to get some of his stuff working on my laptop.

  2. Giorgo stuff is great. Unfortunatelly my favorite synth from him, Creature From the ID, isnt available as VST, only stand alone.

  3. His software is indeed great! I have tried a number of his creations and really liked most of them. The fact that they are standalone only, however, has stopped me from purchasing thus far as they just dont fit my workflow. Hopefully he will offer them as plugins at some point!
