https://youtu.be/eu0zpa7OiYA
And if you want to know how to “shape” i.e. to “create” a sound, watch this:
https://youtu.be/UqtD1ufCYps
The 3 main components of a “subtractive” synthesizer are:
1. The Oscillator.
2. The Filter.
3. The Amplifier (which is an Envelope).
There are the main components for “MAKING” a sound.
But in order to CREATE, i.e to “shape” a sound, you have to understand and learn what “MODULATION” is.
Without being able to effective modulate use your sounds, all your sound will sound almost the same !!

I was wondering if you could do something similar with samplers?

True beginners need every term, no matter how obvious it is to us, explained.

Like menus.
