Korg Kaoss Pad V Brings Back The Popular Touch-Controlled Sampling Effects Box

Ahead of the 2026 NAMM Show, Korg has introduced the Kaoss Pad V, the latest iteration of its popular sampler and effects box.

The Korg Kaoss Pad V features an updated touch interface, new effects and a workflow improvements. You can use the MIC, LINE, and USB inputs at the same time to blend vocals, instruments, and computer audio. The balanced mic preamp is designed to deliver clean vocal input, while a dedicated Hi-Z jack lets you plug guitars and basses directly into the unit.

The integrated USB audio interface makes it easy to record, process, or stream your sound. Whether you’re capturing performances in a DAW, running effects during a livestream, or monitoring through headphones, Kaoss Pad V keeps routing simple.

Kaoss Pad V’s new Voice FX engine brings creative vocal processing to performances and production, so you can add harmonies, robotic-effects, pitch-shifting tones, and other expressive vocal textures.

The Kaoss Pad V also lets you record, overdub and loop audio:

    1. kaoss 3 and previous gens had a switchable input for mic/line but not a combined/mixable mode. Small but useful change alongside the usb integration correct for the decade now.
      I’m happy to see the return to this format honestly for the feel and old sounds. Everybody has a different taste in the gritty side of digital and this is one of the good devices to try IMO.
