Italian synth maker Frap Tools recently released the Magnolia, a flagship 8-voice analog through-zero FM synthesizer, featuring a Fatar keyboard with polyphonic aftertouch.
In this video, synthesist Gattobus shares a shut-up-and-play style demo of the Frap Tools Magnolia, featuring both factory presets and some of his custom patches.
Here’s what he shared about the technical details:
“Most of the FX you hear in the video are internal. No external FX were added except for a couple of patches; check the upper right corner of the screen for details.”

Pricing and Availability:
The Frap Tools Magnolia is available now, with a street price of about $4,830 USD.
Awesome synth but they could have done a lot better with more performance controls and other goodies. See UDO Audio Super Gemini. And the patch memory limitations is crazy…
Hopefully a desktop version is coming. I like sticking to one keyboard and switching out the synths
Desire vs Cost hernia. I cannot grok the price point (in general). Great synth though. Would be a pleasure to own.
