it became a core part of my live rig keeping a couple of Octatracks, a Roland System 8, a Boss vocal processor and a Sleepy Circuits Hypno all joined and in sync. great value.

Check out the CME H4MIDI WC it has a USB A and USB C port, you can attach a small USB hub to it and then plugin multiple MIDI USB devices.

It costs way less than this and the only downsize compared to this is that it has way less MIDI outputs. But it someone makes up for that by allowing a few USB MIDI devices.

I didn’t know about the “cme h4midi wc” thanks!
I see it can connect up to 8x USB MIDI devices using an extra usb hub and lets them send midi to each other.
You need a computer to set it up but after that it works on its own, unlike iconnectivity devices which you can set up without a computer.

You are looking for a midi merger. I have one from Deftaudio and it is a true game changer.

As mentioned iConnectivity has a solution. A lower cost and quite flexible solution with USB host, Bluetooth MIDI and more is available from CME.

Ive noticed the Swissonic USB Hub for the same reason, but the apparent brightness of its led lights are a problem.

I really just want one unit so my laptop and digital mixer and all my controllers and all my synths can all see each other, but I can also see them all from my laptop so I can 1) record and send midi however I want, 2) power everything, and 3) send all those system updates and run all those patch editors.
