Waldorf shared this teaser for something new that’s ‘coming soon’.
No details have been officially announced….
Is it the Iridium mkII that was previewed at the 2026 NAMM Show? Or is there something else you’d like to see them introduce?

With the silhouette at second 0:03 I don’t think it’s the Iridium Mk2 that is shown. Even if the image would have been mirrored, the positioning of the knobs and buttons don’t coincide with those on the Iridium Mk2. Also this instrument seems to be black, whereas the Mk2 is expected to be grey.
However… one never knows until the instrument will be officially shown.
The picture for the mk2 has already been leaked. Also, apparently they were at super booth and no one noticed the mk2 picture too lmao

hope it will be a cheap instrument otherwise it will be uninteresting for most people
I’d be expecting something along the lines of the recent Protein but perhaps with more of an Iridium flavour
If it’s really a full-on v2 of the desktop version, expect $4,000.
$3700… Oof. Tariffs have killed my ability to afford any new big Waldorf synths. I remember when the Quantum mk1 was around that price…. That wasn’t that long ago
That said, there isn’t a lot of competition for all the things this synth can do. I still like the iridium core tho. Mk2 of that world be nice… Even if its just to lower second hand prices of the mk2 ?
I kinda lost track and interest in Waldorf devices, as most of seems like yesterdays model with a few improvements…but something in Waldorf Protein price range would be interesting…as I guess that the high-end price market is saturated and most sales goes to the normal consumer at the end of the day….
Yeah same. And with stuff like Iridium Core, I just think “why not get an iPad instead?”

Too many commenters act as if the Phantom of the Synth snuck in and took a dump in their underwear drawer overnight. I think you’ll eventually see a synth between the Protein and the Iridium that’ll make a big splash. Nobody would kick a Quantum out of bed, but that in-between model will move the most units. Just IMO.
They lost me when they dropped the Kyra synthesizer…
