New Documentary, Kebu – Space for Synth, Looks At What It Takes Today To Be A Successful Electronic Musician

Finnish composer & synthesist Kebu (Sebastian Teir) let us know about a new documentary, Kebu – Space for Synth, that explores what it takes today to build a career in music.

Over the last 25 years, Kebu has built a career making original synth music that’s inspired by classic electronic music artists of the ’70s and ’80s, like Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre and Giorgio Moroder. He’s released multiple studio and live albums, built a social media presence with hundreds of thousands of followers, and has performed for thousands of fans in concerts across Europe.

The documentary offers a unique, behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to create a successful career as an live electronic musician. It is free to view, and while it’s in a dialect of Finland-Swedish, English subtitles are provided.

  1. nice doc about kebu, you get to know about him as a person. his music is very rare though – most tracks are by the director. a bit strange.

  2. It looks like people are expecting it to be a ‘Kebu showcase’, instead of a look at the reality of being a musician in this day and age.
