Electro-Harmonix Intros Effects Interface Hardware Plugin

Ahead of the 2026 NAMM Show, Electro-Harmonix has introduced Effects Interface Hardware Plugin, a device that’s designed to make it seamless to use your hardware effects pedals with your DAW, and your software plugins with your hardware.

The Effects Interface Hardware Plugin operates in 3 distinct modes:

  • Hardware Plugin Mode: Send tracks/signal from your DAW through you pedals/hardware just like you were using a plugin.
  • Pedalboard Mode: Run your instrument into your DAW, through your plugins, and back out to your signal chain, effectively turning your plugins into a pedal.
  • Audio Interface Mode: use the Effects Interface as a traditional 2-in/2-out USB audio interface

Specifications:

  • Multipurpose interface pedal for the studio and stage
  • Connect pedal effects and plugins with ease
  • Hardware Plugin Mode – Connect pedals to your DAW to use just like plugins on your tracks
  • Pedalboard Mode – Use your favorite plugins just like a pedal by routing a signal from your pedalboard to your DAW, and back to your pedalboard
  • Audio Interface – Functions as a traditional 2-in/2-out USB audio interface
  • Stereo inputs and outputs with dedicated level control sliders
  • Headphone output with volume control
  • Power supply and USB-C cable included

Pricing and Availability:

The Electro-Harmonix Effects Interface Hardware Plugin is available now for $359 USD.

  1. iOS compatibility in Pedalboard Mode…?

No effing way I’m dropping a full laptop DAW in as my critical effect chain onstage (been there, done that, got burned). But there are some awesome leftfield apps for iPhone/iPad that would be cool to have on-hand as an option.

    1. there is a pedal from IK Multimedia where you can use iOS apps as effects. It works very well with older iDevices with headphone jack I/O. The downside is that it has a low output signal.

    2. Reads like you’ve focussed on the wrong thing here champ.

If you’re running a computer’s processor too hard, of course there’s going to be issues. That’s a problem caused by the user loading too much onto an underpowered computer in the chain. Not a problem caused by the reamp box or audio interface. This is both of those in one, which is a nice idea.

Also – where do they talk about IOS compatibility? It’s not in the text, watched most of the video & didn’t catch it there either.
