It – like the MS2000 and 2000B which share most of its engine – are damned good VAs. Yeah the action is awful and it’s 4 notes but they still sound good today. If you’re able to find the S version with the expanded memory and built in speakers, get it.

In reply to randmcnasty. I had this beast before I bought the mighty Microkorg X.L. fantastic synth. I just wish it had tje USB C.on it. I'm really into Hard Rave, Industrial/ Technology Music. It was perfect for it.

One way to describe the MicroKorg is as a “Vintage Synthesizer” but another way would be to call it “The best selling synthesizer in the world.” Because it has been sold for so many years, the sales numbers have outpaced the Korg M1, the Yamaha DX7, and other popular synthesizers.

In reply to asdf. Boo boo. Manufacturers tend to make things that people buy, and not the other way around. What is being offered today is what we demanded; because we want things to be affordable so we can keep buying. That's how this industry makes money, and as such the users are to blame. Rooms full of unused junk. With new gear promising to make our music better.

best keyboard format in my opinion.
I wish they would just take the shell and create a polyphonic
synth with loads of knobs
