I don't have GB'11 but it seems like an obvious idea to me…

Starting with the amp models, and pedals. what happened to all the AU plugins? I still use 08 and have no intension of upgrading to 11 cause i hate how it feels so… idk.. lower level.. I can seriously get killer recordings with GB with some AU plug ins and the effects in 08 but in 09 those options for effects seem not to be there.

Jobs said yesterday that the Mac user base is 50 million. GarageBand has come installed on new Macs since 2004.

So it looks like Garageband is on close to 50 million machines, but only about 1 in 10 actually uses it.

I like Apple in general but this phrase makes my skin crawl.

"Steve Jobs noted that GarageBand now has 5 million users, making it the most popular DAW, by far."
Well it is installed on 5m machines, but there aren't 5m users.

Also it opens to the choose project page instead of the previous project and there is no preference to change that. Like I said it need work….

I use GarageBand as a scratch pad mainly, but Flex Time and Groove Matching look like they could be fun creative tools.
