Bjooks has announced the latest in their series of coffee table books on electronic music subjects, Beat Gems.
Beat Gems, by Oli Freke, offers an in-depth look at drum machines and their influence on modern music.
The book is described as a visual and narrative journey into the evolution of electronic rhythm. It covers more than 60 iconic and lesser-known machines, exploring the design, technology, and cultural context of the drum machines that helped shape electronic pop, hip-hop, house, and techno.
